As a native Louisianan, born and raised in Baton Rouge, a
graduate of Capital Senior High, I obtained my Educational Studies, Licenses and
life experiences in California and Georgia. Something has always brought me home
and now again I’m back where it all began. As a Youth Counselor for the State
of California Youth Authority for twelve years, license stylist / salon and
promotional company owner, the entrepreneur spirit has always been a part of me.
The desire to be self-sufficient has always been a passion of my character.
In my life experiences the one thing that has always saved
me was the LOVE of my family and friends. As I looked into the mirror I asked
myself, “What can I do…where do I go from here?” Having a LOVE for people,
Mirror of Grace Outreach was given to me. Blessed with a giving brother,
Leonard J. Harrel, Sr., specializes in computer building, programming, repairs,
and is an excellence computer educator. Together we agreed to give back to our
community using the newly created Mirror of Grace Computer Lab and Computer
Training Program.
God’s Grace has kept me and his mercy continues to bless
me. We are all blessed to be a BLESSING and to recognize our potential to
assist and make a change in the lives of others.
I dedicate “Mirror of Grace Outreach” in loving memory of
my brother Attorney Leon John Harrel, Jr. who provided legal service to Baton
Rouge and the surrounding area for over 20 years of his life. Leon, Jr. served many
community friends and families who benefited from his God given wisdom, talent,
and humble servant service.
